Fall Panorama | Mears Peak, Colorado
The last rays of the setting sun gently grace this Colorado fall panorama, showcasing Mears Peak of the San Juan Mountains. On the evening of this shot it was my very first time venturing in this gorgeous hillside. It was quiet and charming. The Fall colors were great. The mountains had fresh snow. It was a classic Colorado Fall panorama, unique to this incredibly beautiful state.

Since that memorable evening I have gone back to shoot the splendor of this area. I am usually drawn to the very place I photograph. For me it is not all about making the fine art print. The very experience of capturing the natural beauty has to be positive in order for me to make a masterpiece. I have to be drawn to the area and its beauty, in order to be inspired to capture the landscape in the first place.

A few years later I returned on another Fall evening, curious to see what this Colorado panorama would look like. My experience was different however. It was after an early evening storm when i captured Sunshine in the Rain. A professional landscape photographer will often return to an area, only to capture a different scene. Yes, visiting new places is both exciting and inspiring. However, seeing an old countryside adorned in new light and a new season is just as thrilling.

There is an interesting fact about the image above. What you see is private land, but it was shot from public land. How can that be? A very large part of this area is a privately owned ranch, called Double RL. It is owned by the famous Ralph Lauren. However, it occupies the land in front of Mount Sneffels Wilderness, which is part of the Uncompahgre National Forest. Therefore, a tiny public access road winds through the beautiful Colorado country landscape of the ranch. It allows people to enjoy this wonderful Colorado panorama in the Fall, or any other season. And for this opportunity I am quite grateful!

When you purchase LImited Edition Gintchin Fine Art prints I will personally mail you (separately from the image) a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing the identity and edition number of your new art piece.

In addition, all of my Limited Edition prints come signed, as well as indicate the print edition number. That way, the edition number on the print matches the one on your Certificate of Authenticity.
