LAZAR GINTCHIN

Fine Art Photographer

My name is Lazar Gintchin and I welcome you to my world of fine art nature & landscape photography. As a landscape photographer I focus on limited edition, large format photo prints, made of the best printmaking materials available in the industry. In my mind, there is something magical about the opportunity to freeze a visual moment of time and the ability to reproduce it as a printed image. Viewing a nature scene on a huge print is the next best thing, to having been there and seen it with your own eyes. This is exactly what I offer to my customers – limited edition and gallery style fine art photo prints, in sizes so large they make you feel like you are looking at nature through a window. My goal as a photographer is excellence and the highest print quality by using premium technology and materials available. As one of my customers put it – “we do love the scene, it is like you can see depth down into the picture and we are extremely happy”.

My images have been sold in various galleries and online, and are a prized possession for both US and international art owners. In addition, this website offers my entire limited edition photography artwork for sale online.

Thank you for taking a moment to look through my art. Be sure to go out and enjoy nature yourself also.

Best,

Lazar Gintchin

FAITH AND PHOTOGRAPHY

As a believer in Jesus Christ, my faith and photography are deeply intertwined. Whenever I am surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, I am constantly reminded of God’s presence. The magnificence of His creations not only fills me with joy, but also reinforces my belief in His existence.

Paul the Apostle once wrote to the Romans:
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. ~ Romans 1:20

Similarly, I often witness this “eternal power and divine nature” in the splendor of God’s creation, and strive to capture it through my camera lens. Whether it is the delicate intricacy of an aspen leaf, the grandeur of mountains and oceans, or the mind blowing starry sky, I see the work of His divine hand in every detail.

My hope is that people can see God, and not me, in my photography. I hope that those who view my images are inspired to recognize His presence and appreciate Him as the ultimate artist, with me simply capturing the wonder of His creation.

“But if there be one book I love to read above all others, next to the book of God, it is the volume of nature. I care not what letters they are that I read, whether they be the golden spellings of the name of God up yonder in the stars, or whether I read, in rougher lines, his name printed on the rolling floods, or see it hieroglyphed in the huge mountain, the dashing cataract, or the waving forest. Wherever I look abroad in nature I love to discern my Father’s name spelled out in living characters;”

Charles Haddon Spurgeon – August 19, 1855

THE WHY

Nature Photography

Being a fine art nature photographer can be very rewarding and satisfying, but is definitely hard work. So why do I often travel long distances, get up in the middle of the night, deal with very cold or hot weather, take calculated risks, make sacrifices, and spend hours upon hours of looking for the perfect moment? Why do I spend countless hours processing images, so that I can print them? Why do I continue this very involved process year after year? Here is why:

When I witness a majestic scene unfolding right in front of my eyes I get a surge of energy and feel the grace of God upon me. Have you ever wondered why the sky and the oceans are blue, the grass and the trees green, the sunsets and sunrises are all shades of red and orange, the flowers are all types of colors, the autumn leaves are yellow, orange, and red, the rocks and the deserts vary from white to maroon, and the rainbows contain all of the 7 basic colors? If our world were black and white it would be so dull and uninteresting. However, it is not and I am grateful for the beauty God created around us.

To me, being a landscape photographer is about capturing beautiful live art, and then recreating it onto a huge print. That is what I am passionate about. I say “live art” because it changes right in front of your eyes, and you can go back to the same location later but it will look different. It is what makes it special – the scene is there one moment and gone the next.

MY STORY

Lazar Gintchin Bio

Growing up in Bulgaria, with the Pirin mountains in my backyard, I learned to appreciate the beauty of our natural world by spending lots of time out in nature. My first camera was a 1970s German film camera, which my father gave me. I started shooting black and white 35mm film, and have since developed a lifelong passion for landscape photography.

In 1995 I moved to the USA and currently reside in the Denver area with my wife and two children. I feel very fortunate to live in Colorado, where the natural beauty is one of the best in the world. Each of the four seasons offers unique majesty. Furthermore, the sunrises and sunsets glow with such color intensity as I have not seen anywhere else.
