Temples and Towers of the Virgin | Zion National Park, Utah
Passing through Zion National Park was a quick photography trip. I had less than 24 hours to capture a beautiful fine art panorama. Such a short time window can be challenging for a nature photographer, especially during uncooperative weather. An additional issue was that I had never visited Zion National Park, much less done photography in it. Nevertheless, I drove into the park hopeful to photograph a beautiful landscape. Hours later I came upon the Towers of the Virgin location, seen in this photo. By then darkness was falling fast and I could only get a general visual idea of the area. Wasting no time, I quickly framed my panoramic photo shot and selected this as my morning photography location.

The next day I returned at dawn, not knowing what to expect. Another photographer was also there waiting to see what the morning would bring. There were clouds East of us which was concerning. Despite of that, I kept waiting, camera ready. Finally the sun started rising and its light broke through the clouds, just in time to illuminate the red canyon walls. It was absolutely spectacular!

Afterwards the other photographer told me that he had been in Zion National Park for a week. Every morning had been cloudy and without sun. However, on that particular day we were graced with light. “This was the best morning!” – he said. I felt very grateful to have been there, witnessed this magnificent sunrise, and captured it with my camera. The result is what you see in the image above.

The Temples and Towers of the Virgin is a set of peaks in Zion National Park. It consists of the West Temple, the Sundial, the Altar of Sacrifice. The West Temple was the first park landmark ever given a name. John Wesley Powell was the one who named it in 1872. It is also the highest point in the park at almost 8,000 feet of elevation.

FINE ART PRINTS FOR SALE

Print Mediums

Acrylic - TruLife® LumaChrome Prints - ready to hang

This is the absolute highest luxury, museum quality product in fine art printmaking on the market today. Acrylic prints boast a tremendous range of vivid and bright colors, incredible sharpness and clarity, and an anti-reflective acrylic surface. Put together, these qualities result in an almost 3D looking showpiece, which immediately captivates and impresses the viewer. TruLife® acrylic prints are a fully finished wall art product, ready to be hung on your wall.

Lumachrome acrylic fine art prints reflect light with amazing luminescence due to the Iridium metal particles used in the print inks. Because of this, these museum quality prints appear as if they are lit from behind. In addition, the colors are amazingly vibrant and well saturated, while the dark areas maintain great detail. Furthermore, I use the anti-reflection, scratch resistant, and UV protective TruLife® acrylic as a standard on my limited edition prints.

Metal - ChromaLuxe Prints - ready to hang

Metal prints are a paperless fine art photographic product. The inks are directly infused and sealed onto an aluminum sheet, in order to produce this gallery quality, luxury artwork. ChromaLuxe metal prints result in a stunning, high-gloss fine art image, with bright and saturated colors. Metal prints have incredible image quality, archival properties, and physical durability.

Research has shown that ChromaLuxe metal prints will outlast, by three times, silver-halide photographic paper prints. Besides, metal prints are a remarkable high definition product, delivering high quality at a slightly lower price, compared to acrylic prints.
