Lush flowers and greenery adorn this Aspen hill side. The sound of a little brook can be so calming and soothing. It is no surprise why so much meditation and relaxation music incorporates the sound of running water. This scene in particular combined that peaceful sound with the beauty of flowers on both sides of the water.
The vegetation and flowers in Aspen are usually very lush during late spring and early summer. I am not sure whether the climate is a bit different and more moist than the rest of Colorado, but generally it is very green. The surrounding area also has some of the most beautiful evergreen trees that I have seen in the state. They are quite tall, straight, and possess a dark green color as if they are full with life.
Another unique thing about flowers and plants in the Aspen area for me personally is the presence of wild stinging nettle (Urtica dioica). This plant, with many health benefits, is something I was used to seeing everywhere, growing up in Bulgaria. However, Aspen is the only place in Colorado where I have found it so far.
