Winter sunrise with snow covered pine trees and Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Rocky Mountain National Park was established on January 26, 1915. It is a wonderful place full of mountains, evergreen forests, alpine lakes, mountain tundra, attracting people from all walks of life. The Continental Divide runs through the middle of the park, separating the streams that join the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. In addition, the headwaters of the Colorado River, which runs through the Grand Canyon, begin in the park’s northwestern region.

Rocky Mountain National Park can be a harsh place during the winter. Winds can gust with high speeds, making the entire area rather unwelcoming. However, every now and again the park can be absolutely still, even during the cold season months. It becomes a winter wonderland infused with breathtaking beauty. Therefore, those who venture out are often treated with unmatched mountain views.

After a mid April snow storm I decided to take my chances and drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park for an early morning nature photography session. I set the alarm for 4am and arrived in the Upper Beaver Meadows while it was still dark. While I had no specific expectations I found an absolutely captivating view upon my arrival. Everything was covered with fresh snow and the air was completely still. The cold winds had taken a break, which I appreciated very much.

So I began waiting in anticipation of how the sunrise would transform this Rocky Mountain National Park winter scene. And transform it certainly did. Soon the first rays of light began flooding the Upper Beaver Meadows and the view became truly magical. Contrasting warm and cold tones created this winter charm, as the valley came alive with orange light. With no other soul around I had the place completely to myself. What a special treat this was for me to experience and capture with my camera.

FINE ART PRINTS FOR SALE

Print Mediums

Acrylic - TruLife® LumaChrome Prints - ready to hang

This is the absolute highest luxury, museum quality product in fine art printmaking on the market today. Acrylic prints boast a tremendous range of vivid and bright colors, incredible sharpness and clarity, and an anti-reflective acrylic surface. Put together, these qualities result in an almost 3D looking showpiece, which immediately captivates and impresses the viewer. TruLife® acrylic prints are a fully finished wall art product, ready to be hung on your wall.

Lumachrome acrylic fine art prints reflect light with amazing luminescence due to the Iridium metal particles used in the print inks. Because of this, these museum quality prints appear as if they are lit from behind. In addition, the colors are amazingly vibrant and well saturated, while the dark areas maintain great detail. Furthermore, I use the anti-reflection, scratch resistant, and UV protective TruLife® acrylic as a standard on my limited edition prints.

Metal - ChromaLuxe Prints - ready to hang

Metal prints are a paperless fine art photographic product. The inks are directly infused and sealed onto an aluminum sheet, in order to produce this gallery quality, luxury artwork. ChromaLuxe metal prints result in a stunning, high-gloss fine art image, with bright and saturated colors. Metal prints have incredible image quality, archival properties, and physical durability.

Research has shown that ChromaLuxe metal prints will outlast, by three times, silver-halide photographic paper prints. Besides, metal prints are a remarkable high definition product, delivering high quality at a slightly lower price, compared to acrylic prints.
