A striking interception of fresh snow and autumn colors brought together into an impressive mountain landscape. Although this does not happen every year, there are times when the Colorado peaks get a fresh layer of snow, while the aspens below are radiating bright colors. This nature photograph has a number of elements going on at the same time. Starting with the sky are darker clouds on the left. However, they quickly dissipate towards the right side where we see sunshine and blue skies. Right under, a snow-covered mountain reminds us that winter is near. Still, the hillsides below continue to celebrate the majesty of a golden fall season filled with warmth. For me, this image represents the unique intersection of contrasting weather periods, patterns, colors, and temperatures, wrapped in an amazing package of nature art.
