PERSONAL NOTE
This image probably looks very inviting with its beauty and the sense of warmth from the sunlit peaks. Nevertheless this was a very cold morning. When I photograph outdoors I can only wear thin gloves and still operate my camera and tripod effectively. Although not obvious from the image, this morning the temperature was probably in single digits F.
It was one of those experiences where your hands get so cold that they start to hurt. This makes it quite difficult to shoot as it is very distracting. Therefore, I had to push through the cold and pain and focus on making sure all my camera settings were dialed in perfectly.
