Snake River | Oxbow Bend, Grand Tetons
The Snake river makes a beautiful turn, called – Oxbow Bend inside Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming. It is a gathering place for wildlife because of the ample water supply and the fact that the river becomes very calm in that spot. It turns around and creates almost a lake-like formation, which attracts fish, birds, and mammals.
Oxbow bend is also a beautiful location with both deciduous and evergreen trees. In the distance, Mount Moran proudly rises and dominates the landscape with its massive figure. It is surrounded by mountains on both sides, all of which are part of the Teton Range. On a calm morning like what you see in this picture, the water reflection in the Snake River is stunning. The overall effect is a beautiful panorama with mountains, trees, and water reflection. This truly is a special place.
