My stay in Key West was very brief – less than 24 hours. However, I knew the exact beach view I wanted to photograph, as I did a lot of research prior to the trip. The night before I went to scout it out and make sure that I knew the exact location of the spot. By the time I got there night was falling quickly and I only had minutes. Nevertheless, I was able to locate it quickly and knew the exact plan for the next morning.
The next day I rose up while it was still dark and drove back to set up my camera with plenty of time before sunrise. It was a beautiful morning with a gentle and pleasant breeze. I could feel the smell of the ocean and just enjoyed my time while waiting for the sunrise. Finally, the right moment came, just as the first rays of light hit the beautiful scenery. It was the instant I had been waiting for and I proceeded to capture this gorgeous beach during the quiet and peace of the early morning.
