Most times when I go out to photograph the fall I hope for colors of gold aspen trees. This year I came across multiple areas where some aspens had turned their leaves, but others were still rather grean. Through these encounters I realized how much I actually appreciated this combination. The mix of green and yellow creates an appealing pop. In this photo green is the predominant color. On that background the sudden appearance of yellows is very lively and refreshing. If you look closely, you will even find some hints of red, which is not a common aspen leaf color.
