Twilight Pier | California
This twilight pier ocean panorama was actually quite challenging to photograph. I spent an hour and a half in that exact same spot, camera ready, waiting for the perfect soft light to paint the landscape. Taking multiple long exposure images, to blend the water just right, while any remaining light was quickly fleeting was one of the most difficult parts of the process.
I had known of this pier for more than 10 years but for some reason never had an interest in photographing it until recently. This is the very first image of it I have ever released. Standing underneath the symmetrical structure after sunset is actually quite magical. The straight long pillars create a surreal entryway into the ocean horizon. It is a view of the Pacific, which is one of a kind.
