The most incredible thing about this picture, as well several others in this collection, is that I almost missed it. I had spent the whole night hiking and photographing and at about 4:30am was driving down a lonely road, when I caught a lake and a boat in my periphery. I almost kept driving, but something made me stop and turn around. There were quite a few trees and shrubs between the road and the lake and it did not look promising that I would be able to actually get to it. To my surprise, when I drove the car back and parked, I saw that there was a tiny trail that led straight to it. I then spent almost an hour moving around the lake and photographing this amazing solitary boat and its reflection.
