Mystic blue spruce trees illuminated by the rising sun, which slowly chases away the morning mist of the forest. I hiked in complete darkness for two hours with the intention to get a high vantage point and photograph the sunrise. What I had in mind was something completely different from what you see in this fine art photograph. However, it was one of those photography outings that rewarded me with bonus images. I did not expect to come across a breathtaking forest of spruce trees near the treeline. Not only that, but they were blanketed by a morning fog. And when the first rays of the sun sprayed across the forest, the entire scene became magic.
