Aerial Sunset | Somewhere above Canada |
An abstract aerial sunset displaying the last moments of the day from high altitude. As the Earth falls asleep, the fleeting light is seen on the horizon as a bright band of yellow and pink color, sandwiched between the sky and the Earth. This is a very unique view with an unusual landscape down below and a striking display of atmospheric layers in contrasting colors.
Having flown for nearly 20 years I had seen more than one aerial sunset and sunrise. However, never before, or since have I seen one as unique as what you see here. Normally the transition between red and blue is more gradual. Not in this photograph though. Notice the abrupt boundary of color. How sharp the transition between pink and blue. I am not sure exactly why, but the plane must have been right between the troposphere and stratosphere layers, and this is the reason for the clear visual separation.
Locate the sun itself in this aerial sunset photograph. It is mostly hidden behind clouds, but one small strip of an opening reveals its position. Look slightly left off-center and you will see this thin, bright, yellow line shining through for one last time. Then observe the land below and its interesting patterns. Although they resemble a winter scene this is not snow, as the image was taken in the middle of summer. It was hard to tell the exact landscape features because of the low light and the long distance.
For me this aerial sunset will remain a form of a mystery fine art. First, I only know parts of what I am looking at, while others remain unknown. Second, although I know that this is southeastern Canada, I am not sure of the exact location. Regardless, on that summer evening God let me see and capture one of His masterful artworks, which cannot be observed from the ground. What marvelous beauty and splendor that was, for which I am grateful!
This is the absolute highest luxury, museum quality product in fine art printmaking on the market today. Acrylic prints boast a tremendous range of vivid and bright colors, incredible sharpness and clarity, and an anti-reflective acrylic surface. Put together, these qualities result in an almost 3D looking showpiece, which immediately captivates and impresses the viewer. TruLife® acrylic prints are a fully finished wall art product, ready to be hung on your wall.
Lumachrome acrylic fine art prints reflect light with amazing luminescence due to the Iridium metal particles used in the print inks. Because of this, these museum quality prints appear as if they are lit from behind. In addition, the colors are amazingly vibrant and well saturated, while the dark areas maintain great detail. Furthermore, I use the anti-reflection, scratch resistant, and UV protective TruLife® acrylic as a standard on my limited edition prints.
Metal prints are a paperless fine art photographic product. The inks are directly infused and sealed onto an aluminum sheet, in order to produce this gallery quality, luxury artwork. ChromaLuxe metal prints result in a stunning, high-gloss fine art image, with bright and saturated colors. Metal prints have incredible image quality, archival properties, and physical durability.
Research has shown that ChromaLuxe metal prints will outlast, by three times, silver-halide photographic paper prints. Besides, metal prints are a remarkable high definition product, delivering high quality at a slightly lower price, compared to acrylic prints.
Large format print sizes with great quality are available for your interior. As a landscape nature photographer, I pride myself on being able to produce huge prints with sharpness and detail. Although prints are available in custom sizes, my typical dimensions are: PANORAMIC – 20×60, 30×90, 40×120 and STANDARD – 30×45, 40×60, 48×72. You can learn the difference between panoramic and standard prints on my print sizes page. There you will also find visualization tools to help you see how different size large format prints fit inside a home decor.
When you purchase LImited Edition Gintchin Fine Art prints I will personally mail you (separately from the image) a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing the identity and edition number of your new art piece.
In addition, all of my Limited Edition prints come signed, as well as indicate the print edition number. That way, the edition number on the print matches the one on your Certificate of Authenticity.
