I had been driving for many hours, through the Lofoten islands, on this day, when I saw some spectacular peaks in the distance. Luckily when I got closer, I saw a turn from the main highway, which seemed to be going in the direction of those mountains that had caught my attention. Excited, I decided to follow it and see where it would lead me.
Not long after traveling on it, the road made a turn and now had a straight line stretch which was pointed right into the peaks. It was one of those moments that immediately took my breath away and I instantly knew that I had to photograph this beauty. Given that this is a panoramic photo, the camera setup and image capture is quite time consuming. It took several attempts over half an hour, as this scenario repeated several times: setup the tripod in the center of the road; balance it perfectly for a panoramic shot; start taking the shots; hear the sound of a fast approaching car; quickly move the camera and self to the side of the road; wait for any cars to pass and disappear from view; start the process from the beginning. In the end my patience and persistence paid off.
