Tucked at the end of a small fjord and surrounded by lush, steep walls a fairytale village lies peacefully. Can life be any more simple than this? Far away from civilization in a place that feels like the edge of the earth. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and having the ocean on the fourth. Thirty to forty houses in the entire community. No pollution, free from the noise of a busy city and just peace and quiet gently interrupted by the noise of the waves on the beach.
When I first laid eyes on this view my breath was taken away. Driving down a narrow road I had to stop and capture this amazing magic. Hidden away from most communities in the Faroe Islands this place felt like the world did not know it even exists. As I got out of the car and started setting up the camera I could hear the waves crashing on the shore. And then… I heard the voices of children at play. When I looked closely I saw a group of them playing right on the beach. No cell phones, tables, screens, or any electronics to keep them occupied. No, these children seemed happy to play simple games on the sand by the water. They seemed content to be outside and enjoy the outdoors. After capturing this image I stood and watched for a brief time, savoring the moment. Then I drove in and took a very slow stroll inside this beautiful community.

When you purchase LImited Edition Gintchin Fine Art prints I will personally mail you (separately from the image) a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing the identity and edition number of your new art piece.
In addition, all of my Limited Edition prints come signed, as well as indicate the print edition number. That way, the edition number on the print matches the one on your Certificate of Authenticity.
